Indication-. Dyspnea, sore throat and pain in Quepen.
Application-. Also called Tiangai and Chigai, it is the place where the channels of Foot-Yangming, Hand-Shaoyang, Hand-Taiyang and Hand-Yangming pass. So emitting qi to it and guiding qi along the channels can help regulate qi circulation in the above—mentioned channels to get qi balanced inside and outside. Emission of qi to it together with guidance of qi to flow along the Stomach Channel and Gallbladder Channel can treat chest stuffiness, cough, hot sensation in the chest and other disorders.
It deserves special attention that during outgoing-qi treatment, the pathogenic qi of the patient may invade via Quepen into the internal organs of the therapist and cause chest distress, chest pain and other symptoms due to stagnation of qi.
