Turning the body to look at the moon

The Chinese like the moon very much; that's why our calendar follows the lunar cycle. Many people like to come together as a family at night to enjoy the moonlight and listen to the older family members telling stories. In this movement you turn your body sideways by about 135 degrees, which strengthens the kidneys and stomach, improves the circulation and can help you to lose weight. Breathe in on either side, and out on the opposite side.

1. Stand naturally and relax your whole body.

2. I—y Turn to the left and shift your weight to your left leg. Allow your right heel to lift off the floor. Raise both arms to the left and side. Look in the same direction in which your hands are pointing.

Relax your body and swing both arms down in front of you. Allow your knees to bend and begin to shift your weight from your left to your right leg.

4l=> Continue swinging your arms up to the right, finishing in a position opposite to that in Step 2.
