Back Rolling of the Upper Arm in a Fixed Stance

1) Exercise method a. Stand in the horse riding stance. Turn the palms of the hands, crossed in front of the lower belly, to face up. Separate the hands with the left one stretching up left and the right one lifting from the front of the belly back up along an arched line until at the horizontal position. Turn the waist to the right, let the eyes look at the right hand and inhale at the same time. Then, bend the right elbow and push the right hand forward by passing the ear with the palm facing the front. Exhale at the same time. Then, retract left hand to the front of the chest horizontally and let it come just across the hypothenar of the right hand. (Fig. 62-1)

b. Continue to lift the left hand back up along an arched line until it parallels the ground, turn the waist to the left with the eyes looking at the left hand, inhaling at the same time. Then lift the left arm, bend its elbow and push the left hand forward by passing the left ear with the palm facing the front. Exhale at the same time. Then retract right hand to the front of the chest and let it come just across the hypothenar of the left hand. (Fig. 62-2)

2) Essentials

Inhale when retracting the hand and exhale when pushing the hand.
