The preparatory posture: Stand with the feet a shoulder width apart. Drop the arms naturally. Breathe deeply 3 to 5 times (Fig. 52-1). Then do the following movements:

1) Bend the right knee, shake the right shoulder forward and downward, and lower the right arm at the same time. Extend the left shoulder backward slightly and raise the left arm a little. (Fig. 52-2)

2) Bend the left knee, shake the left shoulder forward and downward, and lower the left arm at the same time. Extend the right shoulder backward slightly and raise the right arm a little. Repeat this shaking in this way several times. (Fig. 52-3) It invigorates the functions of the spleen and the stomach, helps digestion and makes the joints flexible.
