You may have seen all kinds of talismans advertised in alternative health magazines—pyramids, crystals, power seals, and so forth. Friends and acquaintances often bring me talismans and tools. Some people bring these to me and ask me to check their energetic effect. There are talismans or tools on the market that actually do release high-quality qi energy. But many, instead, are simply far too expensive and, what's worse, don't release much qi. They are advertised as talismans that will bring you luck and health if you wear them on your body. However, most are not supportive tools for qi training. On the other hand, if they help people to become more aware of the qi world, I won't say that buying such talismans is always bad.
The vajras I have made are of three different kinds: single, three-pronged, and five-pronged. All are made of fine ceramics, and are certain to be useful as supportive tools for anyone who wishes to learn to control qi energy. When a trainee has learned to control external qi, he or she is advised to try to learn to manage the esoteric power from space, by means of the power of visualization and their firm belief. Learning to do this as well will allow a trainee to release the same vibrations as are given off by the supportive vajra tools. Trainees should use these tools simply to reach higher levels, and stop using them when they are no longer needed.
