You may attain a high plane of spiritual evolution without being a vegetarian. Both vegetarians and omnivores are subject to illness and decay. Simply eat whatever makes you feel best. Try to listen to your body's appetite and you will know what to eat When you have an urge to eat something your body has a need for that food. Of course this applies only to those whose bodies are relatively healthy and have no extreme cravings for deadly substances such as refined sugar, salt, or oily food. They supposedly mate for life. When a mate dies the survivor laments and does not seek another mate. When the flock sleeps, they post sentries to warn of approaching danger. Though they are water birds, they are generally vegetarian. Thus, say the ancients, to be a good person one must be like a wild goose.

Do People who Practice this Method have to watch their Diet

You should eat whatever your body tells you to eat. It is not necessary to be strictly vegetarian. If you can become vegetarian, however, and your body feels good with it, then that is the best thing for you. If you eat too much meat, garlic or onions, it will arouse you sexually, which will interfere with your practice. I would advise you to abstain or at least to greatly curb your sexual activity until you have gathered sufficient power and have opened enough Chi routes. Until that time, remember that the most important thing for you to do is to retain your sperm and ovary energy because it is a great source of energy.
